Dancing for Daddy

I haven't posted about ballet in awhile. I didnt want to be one of those Moms who brings the camera to every lesson...
Today was extra special though, Nick got to come watch most of her class. Avery also had a new tutu, which she admired in the mirror most of the class. Avery was SO excited about Nick. She kept saying "Daddy coming?" "Daddy watch Ballet?" She was overjoyed to walk out and see both of us! Afterward, we went to (guess: SURIN) with my friend Michelle and her Mom. This meant Avery got to see "Kapleen" and Baby Ian. Avery had a big day! Davis was go with the flow as usual, he even watched Avery in ballet this time.

Storytime

This morning was one of those times that just warms your heart as a Mommy. I was getting ready to go, and I brought Davis in the bathroom with me to "watch." Avery was playing in my makeup as usual, but she got down and left. She came back with a book and began to "read" Davis a story. It was sooooo sweet.As you can see, he isn't too interested, but it made Mommy's day!

We are so glad you are home for a short visit. We can't wait till you are home for good! Thanks for all you do for our country!

Mini-Moose

Most people know Nick's nickname is Moose. Since Davis looks just like him, people have given him the name, Mini-moose. My neighbor Kris got him this outfit and I just had to take a picture of him in it. It says: I don't moose around!

America's next Top Model

This was Avery's outfit of choice today. She had a pink shirt on but took off her pants. Then she added a Christmas dress (on backwards), a glitter cheerleader dress, three hairbows, & purple heels. Soooo Couture!

Nick went & bought Avery a little guitar so she could play when we do. ROCK ON!!!

Kinda. Since American Idol didnt let me go, I'm going with the roomies to Los Angeles and I am SO excited. We are doing a BIG trip this year since we all turn 30!!!Here are some things we are planning so far (mostly we are on waiting lists so hope for the best!)
1. Going to see American Idol
2. BEing on the Jay Leno Show
3. Being on the Chelsea Lately show
4.THE PRICE IS RIGHT
and I just got a message from MJ, her friend got us a tour of Warner Bro. Studios...we will actually see some stars.

Day Day's revenge

Today I was changing Davis's diaper and Avery was right in the middle of it as usual. He was grabbing for a toy on his playmat and she took it from him. Then he proceeded to tee-tee all over her. She looked so defeated. I have to admit it was hilarious, especially since she's been a little jealous lately and picking on him. Watch out!!! Day Day has arrived!

Brown juice?

I tried to give Avery orange juice this morning, since she'd been sick, and its good for colds. I don't think she liked it. She immediately said "A want apple juice!" I told her orange juice was yummy, to finish it and I would give her more Apple juice. Now she is saying, "A want brown apple juice. Smart huh? How do you explain orange juice is orange but apple juice is still apple, etc...

Back to the Books

I have not read a book since I had Avery. Part of me is too ADD, but the main reason is I didnt have time. In the past two years, I became a magazine junkie. Now that the tabloids only talk about Britney, and the writers strike has prevented any new TV shows, I have started reading again. I am reading 2 books right now! My "light reading" is The Choice by Nicholas Sparks. My "in depth", have to wait till the kids are asleep book is Believing God by Beth Moore. If anyone has not heard of her, go buy this book today. It is part of a bible study I am doing and I LOVE it. I will keep you posted on my progress, but I highly recommend it.

Freudians, help?!?

I love to dream. LOVE IT! Part of the reason I sleep, actually. But for the past month or so, all I dream about is high school. I had no problems with high school, I loved it actually-every minute of it. SO why am I reliving this over and over! Its nothing bad, Im just ready to move on...
Any suggestions?

All better, sort of

Well the kids are better. Avery was well enough to go to the basketball game Saturday. Davis still had a little runny nose so yesterday, so we didn't make it to church. The kids seem great today, but Mommy is still struggling and now Daddy has it!!! I really don't like this time of year. How many more days till Spring???

My 30th, Part 2

This weekend I got to celebrate my big 3-0 again. I met up with Ivy,Leigh, Lori, Nicole,Mary Jo & Sonya for a girls nite out. Lori had a SLAH party so we began the nite there. We had a great time talking & catching up. We ate at (of course) Surin & it was yummy. I even got Leigh to try Sushi. Thanks girls for making my Birthday special!!

Avery's first Basketball Game

Avery attended her first basketball game today, and she got a special treat. Uncle Josh's team won the County Tournament!!! She really enjoyed the game, although she didn't want to sit still. She loved the Cheerleaders and clapping when the guys scored. Congratulations to the East Limestone Indians JV team!!! Way to go Uncle Josh!

Ugh.

Ok, after making it through Thanksgiving and Christmas with no illness, the Williams house has been struck by the sick bug. Avery and Davis both have bronchitis. Mommy feels like she may be getting it too. My poor babies started anitbiotics today and Avery also got some drops for her wheezing. They are both being little troopers, Day Day is still his smiling self, and Avery just wants to cuddle and watch Barbie. At the doctors, Davis was an ounce shy of 17lbs. and Avery weighed 26 lbs. He's gonna catch her before he is 9 months old. Please pray they will be well soon. We are especially worried about Avery, ever since she had that seizure right after she turned one. We have to really watch her fever and make sure it doesn't spike. Ok, off to give a little T.L.C.

Progress, part 2

Ok so maybe it was a fluke. Davis got up about 1:30 to eat last nite. But he did go right back to sleep. Avery fell asleep in her room watching Barbie again, I think she made it till around 3. We're working on it......

The Cake Bandit

While Avery was napping today in the chair, Davis started being a little fussy. I took him in his room and shut the door to get him fed and quiet without waking Avery. I was in there maybe 7-8 minutes max. I came into the kitchen and look what Avery had done! I love how she even tried to put candles back on my cake!

Clay is coming!

My Brother in Law is in route right now from Japan. He has a 30 day leave and my sister and nephew (and the rest of the fam) couldn't be happier... I can't wait for Day Day to meet his uncle!

Progress

Guess who slept in their own bed from 9 to 6:45???? No, not Avery. Davis!!! Way to go little man. And he didnt even cry when he woke up, just kinda whiny cause he was hungry. To Avery's credit, she did go to bed in her room about 9:30...but she woke up about 2 or so (who knows, sometime in the middle of the nite) and got in the bed with us. Baby steps....

You're so vain...

Yesterday I was getting Avery ready and when I was finished she goes "A soooo petty." I always tell her she looks so pretty when I get her dressed. I like to think I'm raising her to be confident, not vain, right??

My 30th

I had part two of my 30th birthday celebrations last nite. Part one was going to see George with Leigh. Next Friday I will celebrate with my roomies and friends from A-town. The next week, I will have sushi nite with my girls. Hey, you only turn 30 once, why not celebrate all month!?!
Me, Nick, Cayce, Christie, Todd, Ben & Linz, Kris & Phil, Becky, Tom & Misty & Eric all went to Surin, my favorite restaurant, to eat. They sang Happy Birthday and we enjoyed great food and wonderful sushi. Then we took the party back here, where Brian and Ashley joined us. We had cake, played pool, and competed in some Guitar Hero Challenges. I even got Christie to play!!! Thanks to all who helped me ring in my 30th with a bang! And thanks to Angelle for watching the kids! I had a GREAT nite!!!

3 month & 2 year pictures

We took the kiddos today to have pictures made. Davis's turned out wonderful!!! Avery is at the age where she will not be still, so we take what we can get. They both look adorable though!Here are a few of my faves.

How much do I love my sisters who get these awesome concert seats!?! Tonite Leigh and I went to George Strait for my birthday. He was AWESOME as usual. We were only about 8 rows back- and this time I had my camera!!! We got a really special treat, he brought out Kenny Chesney to sing my favorite song, "Amarillo by Morning." Thanks again Leigh , what a wonderful birthday present!

"A's cake?"

My sweet hubby came home with a cake for me tonite. First Avery says "A's birthday!" "A eat cake!" Then Nick puts it on the counter & she scoots her chair up to it, gets a knife, & says "A cut it. A blow candles." I don't think its gonna go over well that its MY birthday tomorrow!

Say AAAH

Avery went to the dentist yesterday. We had to get xrays of her front two teeth that she knocked out this summer. Everything is still looking good, we will just have to wait till they fall out. The dentist said we could try to cap them, but it would almost be impossible for a 2 year old to sit that still. He said people really do it AND put their kid under!!!I can't believe people are actually that vain to do that to their poor kid! I think she is a cute little snaggletooth.

3 months old!

I can't believe my precious baby boy is going to be 3 months old tomorrow!!! We went to the doctor yesterday and he weighed 16 lbs, 3 1/2 oz. He has already doubled his birth wieght! I remember when he was born I said.." If I can only make it through the first three months..." but really, Davis has been a dream. He is the sweetest baby and he loves to cuddle. I love how he is ALWAYS smiling! Happy birthday baby boy!!!
