Pumpkin Carving

This will be a new tradition, I suppose...the day before Halloween, Daddy & Avery (mostly Daddy) carve a pumpkin. This year Nick carved two. Avery gets bored with the whole gutting and carving process but she loves the finished product!

Ladybug Ladybug, Fly away home...

Avery just loves her costume. I snapped these pics after the Halloween party..she didn't want to take it off. She played outside till dark in her little ladybug tutu.

2 weeks old!

Davis had his 2 week check up today. He is 8 lbs. 14 oz., 20 and 1/2 inches long. 50% percentile for everything. He is perfectly healthy and we are happy to be so blessed!

Another Party...

Avery got a special treat today...she normally goes to school only on Thursdays, but she got to go today for a Fall Party. They decorated (and ate) cookies, and the Mommies got to see what they do at school: storytime, playtime, crafts, and ring-a-round the rosy, Avery's favorite.




Avery was sooo protective of Davis. I tried to hide him in the corner, but of course, her classmates couldn't resist a peek. Avery stood in front of his car seat and said "No ma'am!" And would push them away from him. She told one little boy- "My Day-Day!"
Such a great Big Sis already. I can see it now- her friends coming over to hang out and thinking Davis is cute...and trying to get Avery to fix them up - she will be like- "Whatever!!!"

Halloween Party!

Monday was our MOMS club Halloween Party. Thanks to Jenny for the pics. This was MY first outing out with two alone, and I wasn't even gonna try to take pictures. Avery was happy to wear her Ladybug costume again. She had fun eating cookies, and dancing with Mickey (Cole), Jasmine(Victoria), and Hapleen. (Kathleen) She also posed for a pic with Jasmine & Tinkerbell, got stuck in the spider web and decorated a pumpkin cutout. Fun Fun.

Our First Outing

Today, our neighborhood had a Fall Festival and the Williams clan made its first venture out as a Family of 4. First of all, I have realized to leave 30 minutes before scheduled time now, since we have two to get ready and load up.
Davis posed nicely with Mommy...

And Avery fought putting on her costume. (Once she got it on, she loved it & wanted to do "bay" -Ballet.)

After a bit of a struggle, (luckily Todd was here...)we figured out the double stroller and were on our way.
Matthew came to check out the Fire Truck with us...

Avery played some games and danced...



And Daddy passed out candy.

We had a fun time & headed home on a sugar high!

Oh What a Night...

Thursday was our first nite "alone" with both kids. Basically, we played musical beds. Here is a breakdown of how it went:
8:30- Avery wants to sit in the bassinet by our bed while I watch Greys and feed Davis
8:45- Avery falls asleep in the bassinet
9:30 - Nick comes to bed, I try to put Davis in the bassinet..Avery wakes up crying and ends up staying in our bed(but goes right back to sleep :))
11:30- Davis up; I feed and change him
12:00 He is still wide awake. Nick goes to the couch.
1:35 Davis up; doesn't want to eat, just cuddle. So he, Avery and I are now in the bed (with Houser at the foot of the bed!)
2:30 - Avery wakes up crying (don't know why) but gets paci and goes back to sleep without waking Davis
3:45 Davis up; feed; back to sleep (in the bed pretty quick)
5:45- Nick leaves for work, Davis up again to eat and be changed
8:00- Avery up; I go get her juice and she actually says "GoGO bed" We lay back down and she sleeps till 9! Thank you!!!!
9:30- Everybody up! We survived.

Not sure when I slept, here and there I guess. I think Nick has realized we are gonna be 4 deep in that queen bed no matter what. He abandoned his "No paci for Davis" rule the second nite home at 3 a.m. Now, I don't know if he is too tired to care but he has quit fussing at me for putting Davis in the bed. Sometimes sleep is just more important to me! So I think we are selling our queen bed if anyone is interested....

A mohawk for Davis

I just couldn't resist. No- I didn't put gel or anything else in it. It stood up on its own. Who said boys were not fun to play with?!?

NAKED!!!!

Avery loves to strip down to her diaper (or sometimes nothing) and yell NAKED!!!! Nick will ask her "Why are you naked?" and she always answers "I don't know!" This is all cute and funny but now she has taken it outside of the house. Today, This is what I sent Avery to school in :

Miss Kathy said she stripped down and wouldn't let them put clothes back on her. So I guess my child ran around in a bodysuit in the 50 degree weather today!

My Mom left this afternoon. :( Tonite will be the first night with no help, and I must admit I'm a little nervous.If Avery would sleep in her own bed, there would be no problems....Now I'm thinking- Will she get up when he wakes up every 2-3 hours? Will we end up with 4 in the bed? Will I ever sleep again? (Just kidding on the last one.) I miss her already and I know Avery and Davis do too. Here is Avery in her ladybug pj's and her new barbie Maw-Maw got her.



If you are wondering what's up with her hair, Mom put pin curls in it last night...She looked adorable for school today.

My other "Little Pumpkin"

I posted a week or so ago about Avery, my little pumpkin...Here are some pics of our newest pumpkin! I don't know if Davis liked the hat or not.

Happy Birthday Babies!

Both of my babies had birthdays yesterday. Avery is 22 months and Davis is 1 week. Hmmm, what did we do special? Avery played in her makeup Daddy bought her at the hospital and Davis, well he just slept and looked cute!

Rain Rain Go away!

Avery is a little stir crazy. After a fun weekend with Maw Maw and Nana & Papa, she comes home to a busy Mommy and RAIN!! She got her purse and was ready to "Go Go Walmart!" That is her newest thing. She says "Bye Mommy! Bye Daddy! Go Go Walmart!" We really don't visit Walmart that often...she calls everything with a buggy (target, costco, publix) Wal-mart. Maw Maw and I taught her the "Rain Rain go away" song, and Avery settled for a Tea Party instead.
Side note: The last time I checked her purse, she had her pone (phone), baby bottle, and a chip. Hey, at least she is prepared!

Davis- My First Week!

First Game Day for Davis!

Saturday, Davis got to experience his first game day here in the house divided. He enjoyed watching the Bama -UT game while laying on Aunt Leigh...I guess the Bama fans got to bond during the big victory. Avery taught him all about "Auburrrr" and "Alabammy." She is so smart- she can pick out both the schools symbols on tv, the newspaper, t-shirts, whatever. Nick made her say "Auburr stinky" but that only lasted a minute, she was right back to saying "Roll tide- BOOOOO!" I must admit Davis looks good in Red, so Daddy can have his little Bama fan. Me and Aves will keep our loyalty to the Tigers!!!

Our First Day

Friday was our first full day at home. Davis had a lot of visitors, so he was snuggled and held all day long. I think his bottom has touched his bassinet or papasan maybe 2 total hourse since we've been home. That's ok though, he's only little once! MawMaw was here helping me,(that's her holding Davis- she doesn't like pictures).Aunt Leigh and Nana and Papa came down to visit, too. Avery was also loving all the company and attention. Daddy went to get groceries and bought her a big coloring aquadoodle pad. As you can she she loves it. I am still running on minimum sleep, seems like Davis has his days and nights mixed up right now. He is very sweet and content, just doesn't want to go to sleep till around 1. One look at that beautful face and you forget how tired you are!
