Let the Wedding Festivities Begin!

The Beautiful Bride!

Ready to get pampered...

Avery and her "wedding babysitter", Sam

Here are all the Bridesmaids enjoying a wonderful lunch

Clearly, Bed & breakfasts are not toddler-proof

Avery loved checking out the grounds...

We got out to Blue Springs around lunchtime and it is beautiful!!! Avery is really enjoying herself, although there are way too many breakable things for my liking. After a yummy lunch, we got treated to massages and pedicures. THANKS LINZ! And thanks to all you girls for helping me with Avery. I cannot wait for the wedding!

Seriously, Saban

Nick Saban...you better get over here quick.

My son has had a bottle, 2 crackers, and 3 jars of baby food for dinner. And he shows no signs of slowing down.

That's his new love in his hand- a biter biscuit

p.s. Saban, if you need any further proof of your next staring offensive lineman, see the picture below.

Guess Who is Trying to Stand Up!

I DONT love pink

Eye that is. Avery's got it. She woke up Tuesday morning and could not open her eyes. We went to the doc and got medicine, she should be fine by the Wedding. I am just playing germ-o-phobe right now, hoping Davis doesn't get it.

There isn't anything funny about it, but of course A will make us laugh no matter what. Last nite she told Nick, "I got purple eyes." I don't know if she heard me talking about pink eye and got mixed up, or if she just preffered purple. Who knows.

And, when the Doctor walked in, she pulled up her shirt and said, "You gonna see my boobies?!" I knew she was talking about him checking her heartbeat, but I can only imagine what was going through his head..

Also, a shocker- She weighed 28 lbs! Davis was 24.5 ?!? Go figure.

Here ya go...

Ok girls, here are my 20 random facts.

1. I hate shoes. I never wear them unless I am out in public. (I take them off sometimes then, too) This goes back to my childhood, never wore them then either. Maybe that is why I have such flat feet.
2. Im a planner. I love making lists, filling out calendars, having a schedule. Guess that is why I was a good teacher.
3.I tried to play basketball in jr.high. My coach yelled at me all the time for not hussling or trying, but really, I never understood what was going on.
4. I used to be big into pageants. I was a Jr.Miss and I competed in Ms.Alabama Agriculture. I wear less make-up now than I did in High school.
5. I am a little anal about a clean house. This has diminished some after 2 kids, but I still like to wake up to no clutter.
6. I am a purse and shoe freak. I would be embarassed to tell you how many I have. That is probably not random, I think everyone knows that. I get it from my Mama.
7. I LOVE music. All kinds, all decades...I need to be on Don't Forget the Lyrics. I think I know the words to every song ever written
8. I got 3 paddlings in 1st grade. After that I was a model student :)
9. I was on the Homecoming Court my Senior year. It is one of my favorite memories- my Dad escorting me onto the football field- getting to be just a DAD for a nite, not a Principal.
10. I almost came home from college after my 1st semester. My roommate was gone alot, I hated the dorms, and I missed Nick and my high school friends. My parents made me stay, and I ended up LOVING IT!!! I even became President of my sorority.
11. I miss teaching. (not enough to leave my babies though)
12. I love Football and Baseball (Auburn and the Braves) but I could care less about Basketball. (see #3)
13. I love to plan & host parties. Maybe in my next life that is what I will do.
14. I am tender-hearted. Everyone thinks since I am so laid-back, nothing bothers me. But I get my feelings hurt very easily. And I don't forget it.
15. I stepped on a toothpick in 10th grade (the night before Disney). Long story short, I had to be in a wheelchair for a week or so, and the toothpick eventually worked itself out a YEAR later!
16. I don't eat Red Meat. Not for vegan or health reasons, but because of Buster Ask me, and I will tell you about it sometime.
17. I secretly watch Hannah Montana and The Suite Life of Zack and Cody.
18. When I was in 7th grade (and a little chubby) some boys made fun of me at a softballgame, saying my uniform must have came from a clown because it was so big. I still remember those boys and that day like it was yesterday. Immediately after that, I started dieting and was really skinny in high school, up untill I was teaching.
19. I am pretty fearless. I HATE snakes, but other than that, nothing really scares me: thunderstorms, criminals, the dark, whatever. I get that from my Dad and living in the country. The only thing I really fear is something happening to my loved ones.
20. I have two tattoos. You can judge if you want, but I love them. They were both thought out and representative of important things in my life.

THere you go, What didn't you know?

Best line of the weekend

Avery is sitting outide with MawMaw on the porch...

MawMaw, poo poo is coming! poo poo coming!

She went inside and pooped on the potty! Good job A!

What a difference a year makes!

This year, Avery was ready to go as soon as she woke up! She wanted her bathing suit, her sunglasses, and to go on the boat!

Last year, she helped Daddy "drive," and enjoyed the boat...even though the life jacket was as big as she was!

Back on the Boat

So relaxing!

The First Mates? I know Leigh is going to kill me for posting this!

Our Captain

It's a hard life...

Mini-Vacay

The Williams, Davises, Strouds, and MawMaw headed to the river house for Memorial Day. I love going there, it is so relaxing. It was like a little vacation, us all there spending the nite and hanging out all day. Uncle Ben even came down to enjoy some of Leighs AWESOME cookin'! Here is some of what we did:

Daddy-daughter time

male bonding?

MawMaw and Davis chilled out on the (screened in) porch. The mosquitos were TERRIBLE!

Born Free!!!

Avery and Riley discuss the problem with the ant beds

Avery liked pushing MawMaw and Davis outside, and then swinging with me in the boat house

Josh put up a hammock and tried to relax

But was soon ambushed by the kids

Nick went fly-fishing and we all made fun of his outfit

Avery watched Daddy fish

And watched the ducks in the boat house

WHAT A FUN WEEKEND!

Kids at Heart

Nick and I tried our hand at tubing this weekend. It was fun, but since it was so cloudy, it was COLD~ Nick lasted longer than me, but I was excited just to be able to DO something out on the boat this summer. I'm already ready to go back!

Elk River

Here are some beautiful "nature shots" I took this weekend.

Pool time

Saturday, we headed over to Maw Maw's for Davis's first time to the big pool! It was a little chilly, but he liked it. He floated around all relaxed while Avery was her usual fish self- jumping in and flapping around fearlessly. I was so glad Nick was off this weekend- he misses alot of "firsts", working all of the time, so he was happy to experience this.
