My latest addiction...

The Sookie Stackhouse series...

I am almost finished with book 3 and I cant put it down.  I loved True Blood, so I started reading the books. Now I have to finish the series before I go back to watching True Blood so I dont get ahead.  There are some major differences between the books and the show, but they are both guilty pleasures!
These rank right up there with the Twilight Saga and Hunger Games books!

More fun with Wisteria Lane

Pool Party at Chiggers

Nick's Aunt Lisa had a family cookout and pool party last weekend.  There was lots of yummy food, some FUN pool time, and lots of precious kiddos! Thanks for having us Lisa!

Treehouses

The Huntsville Botanical Gardens have a treehouse exhibit going on right now.  Julie, Nana and I took all the kids on a HOT lovely day.  Thank goodness there were several opportunities to get wet, or I dont think we would have made it!  We stayed almost 4 hours, and if it hadnt been for the heat and then the rain, I think the kids wouldve stayed all day. If you are anywhere close to North Alabama, it is well worth the drive.

Kiddie Carnival

Last Thursday, Julie and the boys came up for the weekend. We started off the busy weekend by going to the kiddie carnival with Nana.  They had so much fun and were fearless! (Well, Avery & Matthew were- Davis stayed clear of the ferris wheel and swings).  We played bingo, ate popcorn and cotton candy, and saw lots of friends.  It was a great nite.  Brings back so many memories-I LoVED going as a child and its nice to be back in my hometown where my kids can enjoy it too.

2 peas in a Pod

Our neighbors have 2 boys the same age as Avery & Davis.    Avery's "Boyfriend" is Brody, who is the oldest.  We play together alot. Davis & Brantly have become big buddies.  They are both the "little brother," they are both pretty easy going, and they both love trucks, trains, & Toy Story. They dont say a whole lot but the bond is there and its pretty darn cute.

4th of July

We headed to the river house Saturday to celebrate America's birthday the southern way-on the water. The whole crew spent the night Sunday which was Chaotic, memorable. There was tons of food, lots of sun, and a few naps on the boat. And did I mention 5 kids under 5???

Cody sneaking some icing

Dayday in his Patriotic best. We wanted a group photo, but that wasnt happening.

Ivy made some festive cupcakes...

We had a yummy bbq on Sunday. Uncle Ben even came down for the afternoon.

Coleby sampling some of his Mommy's cookies

McQueen cup-check, McQueen lifejacket-check....

At one point, all 5 of the
"big kids" were asleep on the boat!

Avery & Riley relaxing on the boat

Our last ride of the weekend.  What a gorgeous day.

Avery is such a little fish this year! So proud of her.

Dayday likes to swim, but Mommy or Daddy have to be nearby.

And we call this one little tadpole. Josh throws him in the air, he goes under, and comes up grinning. Future river rat.

The girls.  Mattie is just precious. She gives me baby fever everytime I hold her. Must resist.

We ended the weekend watching the Fireworks at the high school. I grew up doing this so its neat to be back home bringing my kids to watch them.
