Wardrobe Change?

I have told many people how many times Avery changes clothes in one day. When I say 10 or more, I am NOT exaggerating. Yesterday I thought, I will take a picture every time she changes so I will have documentation of this. Sometimes she changed so quick, I didn't even have time to take a picture!!! Here is a sample of her wardrobe:

(And at last count, today, she is on outfit #12)

Fashion Show

Some of Avery's "girlfriends" came to play today. They put on lots of make-up and jewelries and got all dressed up for some pictures. Girls just wanna have fun!!!

Body Art

I guess the makeup session wasn't enough for Avery. She wanted to make-over Davis with a full body painting. I like how he would rather eat the eye shadow!

Things I never thought I would say

1. Davis, we do not play in the Toilet.
2. Avery, stop eating the dog treats.
3. No, we can't go play at Johnny and Kate and Alice's house.
4. No Avery, you cannot have an IPHONE.

I HEART

Jon and Kate plus 8. And now I have Avery watching it. Which is excellent for me! She says, "I wanna watch Johnny and Kate and all the kids."
What do you think Gosselins? Maybe a new name for your show?

Lunch Date

Aren't they cute? Too bad they had SO much fun playing that they didn't want to sit down and eat.

Just can't wait!

I guess Davis was getting impatient with Mommy and figured he would make his own milk!

Happy Birthday Lori!!!

Sorry this is a day late, I've been under alot of stress around here. I just wanted to give a shout out to one of my very best friends in the world! Thanks for being there through it all! I love you!

What's that???

After church, Avery wanted McDonald's (imagine that!). She was being ugly to Davis in the car saying "My french fries, My nuggets..." So, he waited till we got home and Avery was distracted, and then got in her bag and got a nugget! So sneaky! HA!

Day at the Golf Course

Yesterday, the kids and I met Papa to watch some of the Junior Ameteur Golf Tournament. The first half of the afternoon, Nick had a break, so he drove us around in the golf cart. The kids loved this, and it was nice to have a breeze and not have to walk! After he went back to work, Papa pushed the kids in the stroller. We followed the leaders for awhile, until Avery could not be quiet any longer. It was a fun day- especially for the kids, who got to spend time with Daddy AND Papa!

WISE beyond her years

This morning, I was kinda wandering around aimlessly, in circles, trying to get everything ready for the day. Avery must have noticed my daze. She says, "C'mon Mommy. Let's go get you some Starbucks before the Golf Kermit!" (tournament)

Good Morning Sunshine!

I am lucky that both my babies wake up in good moods right away and are ready to go. This morning I snapped a picture in their matching Little Einstein jammies. Precious! Don't you like how Avery already has her Senior Portrait pose ready!

(The pj's are on sale right now btw, at the Disney store, $4.99: tell them the lady with the naked child sent you. Long Story).

No wedding...

Yesterday, we watched Bright eyes and Zep for a little while. When I told Avery they were coming, she said "We gonna have a wedding!" I guess she saw that a boy was coming over and thought she better jump on the chance. She's been talking about having a wedding, getting married, and having a baby in her belly for awhile. She put on 2 or 3 dresses, but Zep was not interested in getting married. I needed some gender neutral activities before A had a meltdown. So, we played a bowling game with cups, ate snacks(DayDay tried to steal Bright eyes snacks), and watched a little of Shrek. Aves and Davis had fun with their friends, and they both napped afterward!Yippee!

A whole new meaning to the term BED HEAD

Last Dance

Yesterday was Avery's last dance class of the Summer. The girls had a princess party during class to celebrate. We tried to get Aves, Kathleen, and Cate to pose, but they were not too interested.

I asked her last nite to show me what she learned. She did one "heel, toe..." and said "I not do tap. I just do ballet. I wanna dance like Clara." (From the Nutcracker)Seriously, did you know who Clara was at 2 1/2? I know I didn't!

Avery's new room

Bear with me, this is a long post. I am trying to write everything down though, because one day I will forget and I want Avery to remember...

The theme of the Room is of course, ballerina. I love this comforter, and the ballet slipper valances are too cute. But there are many special "touches" to this room that should make Avery proud to call it her own. First of all, the bed is from MawMaw. She gives all the new babies their first crib. I got a lady who paints ballerinas to paint a little blonde girl with an A on her tutu. Then I pained the background of a frame I already had. Also, the chair is an old one she got all dirty and stained. I was going to give it to goodwill, but I ended up covering it with one the blankets we brought her home from the hospital in.

On this side,I framed her 1st TuTu, and hanging beside it are the flowers we brought to Avery at her 1st recital. Then, I painted several frames she already had, and cut out pictures from Avery's favorite parts of Angelina Ballerina.

This side has her initials, and from each letter (I still have one set to go) hang her first pairs of ballet slippers...she grew thru 3 in one year of Ballet! The dresser also has special items: Pictures with Mommy & Daddy, a Precious Moments 2 figurine from Ivy&Riley, a Ballerina Princess from Sherry, a Nutracker glass globe from Nana & Papa, and a bible from Aunt Joan. Lastly, I painted the picture of the Ballet slippers and wrote underneath " I Hope You Dance..."

I moved the furniture around and made room for her to actually open the little cottage Ivy got her for Christmas. In it are a bear she got as a baby from Aunt Nan, & her 1st Care Bear from the Brambletts.

Let's hope all this "new" stuff will encourage Avery to sleep in her own room!

Moment to Remember

Happy Boy!!!

"Daddy's Work"

Yesterday, I took the kids out to see Nick at the golf course. The Junior Amateur Golf Tournament is going on there, so he wanted to show us around. Thank goodness it was a practice round, because my babies did not want to be quiet...
Can I take a minute to brag on the hubby? Nick has lost almost 40 pounds-most of it due to walking 10miles everyday on the golf course and sweating in this Alabama heat. He looks great, (and I admit, I'm a little jealous to still be fighting the last 10 lbs.of baby weight). Also, keep him in your thoughts this week, he started yesterday working 4:30 a.m. till 9 p.m. This will go on till the tournament is over. Anyhoo, here are some pics from the day:

Did I mention it was 90+ with high humidity!?! Poor babies were red cheeked before we even got to the first hole.

Does Davis look like he is up to something or what?!?

After Avery figured out she couldn't "hit golf balls" during a major tournament, Nick occupied her by feeding some fish in the pond.

What a cutie pie!
