So cute when he sleeps

Wisteria Lane Girls trip

Last Friday, my lovely girlfriends and I from the neighborhood headed to Nashville for one last getaway before school starts.  We stayed at the Hotel Preston, which had a fabulous restaurant there. We ate til we were stuffed at Cafe Isabelle and then headed over to the lounge , The Pink Slip to hear some music.  There were several older couples there line dancing which was pretty neat to watch.  The "band" was a guy and girl duo. We got to talking to the girl's husband who found out I could sing...and one thing lead to another and I ended up on stage.  Yall know me- of there is a microphone or a TV camera within 100 yards, I am gonna find it. We had a little slumber party that night, giggling abot nothing and relaxing knowing we could sleep as late as we wanted.  Well- not too late- we had a shopping spree planned.  It was tax-free weekend in Tennessee too, so we shopped from 9 till about 4. We got some great deals and most of all enjoyed each others company. I cant wait to do it again.

Tractor Pull

Yes, friends not from North Alabama, feel free to laugh.  Last Saturday, Nick, George (Papa) and Davis went to the Tanner Tractor Pull.  From what I hear it was a fun boys night out, and Davis has not stopped talking about it!

Where is Avery?!?

KENNY!

Mary Jo, Tiff and I were able to attend an "Invitation Only" Concert held by Kenny Chesnet last Monday.  It was taped at The Factory in Franklin and will be aired on CMT in a few weeks.  To say it was amazing would be an understatement.  It was set up like a lounge, with couches, stools, rugs, etc.  Very intimate + Very few people+ very close to Kenny.

He sang some new songs off his latest album, Hemmingway's Whiskey.  He answered questions. He told stories.  He sang some old favorites.  But mostly, he was just Kenny and it was awesome.

After the show, he signed a few autographs and we got to "meet" him.  Unforgettable!

Vacation Bible School

Oh I am sooo far behind on blogging! With schoolwork, trying to get my room ready for Pre-K, and cramming in some last minute fun, I just have not had time!

A couple of weeks ago, my church hosted a VBS- Saddle Ridge Ranch.  I taught the 3 year olds and they were so sweet. We had singing and snacks each night after class, and a pizza/ice cream party on the last night. My kids had an absolute ball and it was a huge success!
