Done.

Nick and I just finished filling in our absentee ballots.
pro: No standing in line Tuesday
con: I don't get a little "I voted" sticker :(

A's latest antics

While Mommy & Daddy are busy packing, Avery has gotten into way more than usual. This morning, she painted the walls with bbq sauce. Then, after I cleaned out the refrigerator, she decided to put all the cheetos on the empty shelf. She also added straws, cheerios, etc....
Davis likes the new set-up, anytime someone opens the fridge, he walks over there and grabs a cheeto to go. :)

Here's Minnie!

Our Last Nite

Well, not really, but.....
The girls and I went to Cheesecake Factory for a bon-voyage dinner. We ate too much, laughed alot, and shopped the nite away...(for the kids, we are SUCH Moms!)
They even got me a little "parting gift," which was unnecessary but so sweet. I am trying not to think about moving away and leaving them, but as Saturday gets closer and closer it is becoming reality.
Where do I begin?!?
These girls have become my Family, my Sisters, here in Birmingham. I can't believe we have lived here only two years, because it seems like they have been with me forever. Ii is going to be so hard to wake up each day and not being able to drive over to Starbucks for Coffee, or drop by for a quick visit. It is going to be a huge adjustment, but I know they will be with me in Spirit. And moving means there will be Road Trips. Lots of em. I love you girls!

Remember that M.W.Smith song...reminds me of ya'll:
And Friends are Friends forever, if the Lord's the Lord of them
And a Friend will not say never, cause the welcome will not end.
Though its hard to let you go,
In the Father's hands we know,
That a Lifetime's not too long....
To live as FRIENDS
!

Par-tay

Misty had us over for a cute little Halloween party yesterday. We had lots of yummy food and made Trick-or-Treat bags. Fun Fun!
p.s.: Can you tell I'm a little obsessed with the sponge dots?

Whatever, Martha

Here's my attempt to be a 'good Mommy' and make cute, homeade stuff for a Halloween Party.
The pumpkin cookie cutter didn't have a tall enough stem on it, so by the time they baked, it looked just like a circle. Should've went with the brake-n-bake. Would've looked just as good.
The mustard eyes on my hot dogs were impossible. How do they get it to look so cute in the magazine?!?

Oh well, we had fun. Avery helped with the pumpkin cookies, and I made the Mummy Wraps. hehehe

Tired of Football? Let's play Dress up!

What's a better way to end the nite than a game of Rock Band. Rock on Aves!

He would have been a cute girl!

While Mommy was packing, Avery tried to dress Davis up. He isn't smiling because he likes it. He is happy I rescued him before it got worse.

They're Here!

In case you haven't heard...

Like a scene out of a movie, both of my sisters had their baby boys last nite. Same hospital, Same doctor, Same floor. Leigh's came at 8:06 and weighed 5 lbs, 8 oz. Ivy's came at 8:16 and weighed 7 lbs., 14 oz. Im headed up today to see them and I can't wait! Truly a miracle, and a what a bond these two boys (and my sisters) will share! We now have 4 boys with birthdays in October.

"Behold, children are a gift of the Lord…" Psalm 127:3

I bet Daddy is just a laughing up in Heaven:)

addendum to "busted"

Nick just told me when he was grilling the pork chops for dinner, Avery came outside and said, "Raise your hand if you have diharreha."

Soaking up the Sun

Avery woke up sick this morning. Long story, but I think she had too much sugared juice beverage. Anyhoo, everyone knows how we worry about her getting a fever so we kept the play light today. In the morning, we sat out a tablecloth and painted outside to enjoy the beautiful Fall day. Davis and Daddy even got in on the action. Avery wanted to paint our pumpkins,(guess Daddy will have to buy another one to carve...) and we painted a special surprise-which I won't post-yet! These are the moments that make me so thankful to be a stay-at-home-Mom.

sidenote: Avery is fine, no fever after the yuckiness this morning!

busted

My not yet 3 year old is sick. I've been trying to sneak her pedialyte now and then. ...She just informed me she wanted something to drink. "And I don't want medicine in my cup. I want juice."

Davis celebrated his first birthday Saturday with lots of Family and friends.
What a cutie!!!

Yes,its my party, and Im ONE!

Future linebacker!

The cake! IT was a big hit and very yummy.

Suprisingly, Davis didnt tear into it like everyone thought. He stayed very neat and ate just a little.

Daddy showing him how its done

Big Sis getting in on the action...

Avery decided to take a present for herself.

Meanwhile...what is yummy with Birthday Cake? Ice cream!!!

Davis liked pulling the paper out of the bags, and I even got him to tear a present or two.

Happy Birthday Little Bro!

Kissy face:)

After the party, we went to visit Aunt Leigh Leigh, who is on bed-rest and couldn't come. Say a prayer for her.... The kids played a little whle, but were just too tired to last long.

Happy Birthday Riley P!

I can't believe my first nephew is already 3! We love you!

It's Fun to be One!!!

Davis had a big birthday day yesterday. We started out with his favorite breakfast, eggs.

I had an eye appt, so he got some quality time with Daddy (and a nap) before lunch...

Then we went bowling. At first, we spent most of the time chasing him, since the video games were more appealing.

Avery went first, she was hilarious. The ball was as big as her. Nick showed her how to roll it, granny style, and it took literally 3 minutes for that ball to get to the pins...haha

Thank goodness for the bumpers.

The kids found plenty of other fun things to do,like standing over the fan...

Breakdancing on the slick floor(Daddy taught them this)

PLaying DDR

After sitting back and watching, it was Davis's turn

He tried to pick it up, but settled for rolling it. And he watched it alllll the way down the lane.

After a long day, baby boy was tired. What a fun day!!
